My ebook, The Real Food Cleansing Guide has just been updated and the 3rd Edition is now published.

If you’ve purchased the book already, you should have received the updated version by now (once you purchase something from me– all future editions are yours free).

The 2nd Edition added a chapter on catering your cleanse to each season with tips on which organs and systems need most attention throughout the year and which foods, teas and herbal supports are perfect for nourishing them.

Now, in it’s 3rd edition I’ve added 20 additional great tasting and simple recipe ideas so that you are stocked with nutrient dense meals to develop your perfect plan for a cleanse.

But the curious thing is that right before I published the new edition, I started seeing a rise in sales.

But it actually makes perfect sense to me.

Summer is a fantastic time to cleanse. Many of us will want to get back on track after indulging in a season of backyard BBQs, while taking advantage of all the fresh fruits and veggies in harvest right now.

So I’ve decided to teach a tele-workshop where I’ll explain the process of choosing the perfect cleanse for you and how to design a specific cleansing plan that fits your goals, your lifestyle and the season you are in.

And, it’s free to attend!

Here are the details:

How to Create Your Personal Cleanse and Detox Plan

Tuesday September 7, 2010

8:00 pm EST

Web or Phone based workshop (dial in number and website will be given upon registration)

Register Here!

In this 30 minute workshop, you will:

* identify your cleansing goals

* choose the perfect cleanse for you right now

* review the essential components of a complete detox plan

* learn how to prepare effectively for a successful cleanse

* explore what to expect during and after the cleanse

The workshop will be recorded so if you can not make it live, you will have access to the recording immediately afterward for you to listen at your convenience.

Whether you can make the call live or will be listening to the recording, be sure to register for all the details!

**You do not need to have purchased The Real Food Cleansing Guide to benefit from this workshop– if you have my guide, you’ll have all the resources you need to complete your cleanse plan– if you don’t have my guide you can take the framework you’ve created in the workshop and seek out your own resources to complete the food and wellness details of the plan.

So if this sounds like something you’d be interested in, here’s what you do:

1. Register Here

2. Pass it along to friends (it’s free y’all!) I’d love for you to twitter, facebook or email this post and share the opportunity.

3. Mark the date on your calendar for a great tele-workshop and get ready for a healthy, gentle, real-food cleanse to end your summer!

“My weight. Cheezus, will it ever not be an issue?

Ya see, I got my panties all in a bunch after I saw a picture of Heidi Klum in a bikini…And, I’m willing to bet that she has, if not one, then 2 people helping her with her kids. And, I’m willing to bet she has a trainer, and maybe even someone who cooks for her. Isn’t Seal a stay-at-home dad these days too? He’s probably ordering take-out macrobiotic dinners.

The majority of moms don’t have these resources available….

The issue for me, is that I just can’t seem to come up with the magical formula.”

The key is support

The thing is, whether Heidi really has a whole bus-full of help on hire or not…the underlying truth is that she does have support toward getting herself back into shape and feeling her best. And she has support because she prioritizes it.

It’s tempting to just assume that getting support to stay healthy is simply a luxury for some women who have a huge budget to work with. And so we sigh in resignation that if only we could hire who she hires, we’d feel better…but we’ll just gaze over the fence admiring her greener grass.

I am not suggesting that we should all be using Heidi Klum as our measuring stick. I’m not saying, even, that her level of priority or focus on getting back in shape should be our priority. Kathryn, in the post I quoted from above, makes great points about media focus and unrealistic pressure that we put on oursleves.

But I think there is a middle ground between the intense focus and high-level support that a supermodel may have to take care of herself on one end and putting our health and wellness completely off the list of things we prioritize and resigning ourselves to feeling that there is nothing we can do feel better.

In fact, I know there is an option between these extremes…because it is the work I do in the world.

I’m going to suggest that feeling better in your own body, thinking more clearly, having more energy, experiencing calm and balanced moods, responding to stress more effectively…ending your day feeling well and resilient not drained and overwhelmed are goals that you can reach.

Yes, you’ll need to put yourself back on the list of people you care for. Yes, you’ll need support, targeted solid information, strategies and tools that fit into your life and are designed to fit you individually.

And yes, this can be affordable…and leave you with skills that keep you caring for yourself for years in the future, not just an expired gym membership or old points claendars from days when you spent way too much time counting up the foods you ate.

This is something different. I created this program specifically for busy moms. I’m so excited to share it with you, because I know it works. I know it will be transformative in your life.

So here is my launch announcement:

Designed for Wellness is open for registration!!

It is a 12 week online multimedia course that gives busy moms the support, skills, and strategies they need in order to live healthy, energized and grounded.

Sound like something you’d like to know more about? Click here for the nitty gritty. And if the course sounds like a good fit for the changes you want in your life, don’t wait. Registration will be open until the course begins in Sept or until all the seats are full.

What is your biggest obstacle to feeling healthier?

Before I became a mom, I swore I wouldn’t become a short order cook at dinnertime.

I had memories of my own experience growing up, we simply ate what my mom made for dinner, and I was never consulted as to what that would be.

It’s funny how much we think we know before we have to actually walk the talk!

I still feel strongly about having dinner as a unified family meal, but it didn’t take me long to realize that my desire to include my children’s preferences to some degree in the meals they eat, paired with different actual food needs or restrictions, makes for a daunting challenge.

I needed to find a way to keep myself from literally making a different meal for each person pulling up a chair to the dinner table.

Want to hear what my solution is? Click here to read the rest– I’m at Simple Mom today!
