The WellGrounded Life is primarily a blog for Mothers who intimately know the joys and challenges of the work-family-life balancing act. I’m convinced our days need “anchors” built in to sustain our wellness and health-with so much vying for our time and energy, we need simple ways to put our well being as a priority.  For me, these anchors show up in many forms — like excellent nutrition, stress management techniques, community and connection, personal growth and creativity, well body and mind practices, time spent growing with God, household systems and organization…and these are the kinds of things you’ll see here. 

My goal is to share simple and practical ways to incorporate wellness into a busy mom’s life

Because I’m in the thick of raising little ones myself, I post on this blog about once a week…sometimes less often, rarely more.  My real passion is teaching and I have found reserving enough energy to produce high quality online courses and classes is something that feeds my own creativity and personal growth more than trying to keep up with too many blog articles weekly.    I encourage you to subscribe to the blog to be notified when a new article does appear or when a new class series or course is listed.

Lisa ByrneHello!  I’m so glad you stopped by.  My name is Lisa and I am a wife to a fantastic husband and mother of two fiesty little ones.  I didn’t have much experience with children until I had my own and I have to admit, I sometimes feel like I am learning to “swim” by being thrown into the deep end!  As a stay at home Mom, I’m also learning fast that if I don’t take care of myself I simply can not care for the people I love most the way I want to. 

 I have a background full of science - I just can’t get enough of biochemistry and quantum physics (I know, wierd)– but what I find most fascinating is applying modern science to age-old traditional wisdom and natural healing principles to better understand our bodies and what we need to keep us healthy, well and whole.  Too many people today are scattered, exhausted and on the brink of serious illness because their lifestyles are not in balance– and when I see other Moms like this my heart literally aches, because I know how difficult it is to raise children and keep yourself cared for as well.
